Burhan Eliaçık, a graduate of METU (Middle East Technical University) Industrial Engineering, is one of the prominent figures who has played a significant role in the development of the fintech sector in Turkey. He began his career in 2000 at Garanti Bank, and over nearly 25 years of professional experience, he has held executive and board member roles at several leading institutions in the fields of financial technology and payment services. Between 2023 and 2024, Eliaçık served as a Board Member at iyzico, one of Turkey’s leading payment service providers. As of 2024, he shifted his focus to venture capital, founding SeedB Ventures and managing the establishment process of the investment fund. Eliaçık has played an active role in laying the foundations and institutionalizing the fintech sector in Turkey. In 2015, he was involved in the founding of ÖDED (The Payment and Electronic Money Association) and served as its Chairman. He later became the founding president of TÖDEB (Turkish Payment and Electronic Money Institutions Association) in 2020, leading the organization until 2022. In addition to these roles, he has encouraged industry collaboration through his participation in platforms such as the TOBB E-Commerce Assembly and the Payments Innovation Jury. Eliaçık continues to contribute to the Turkish fintech ecosystem by sharing his knowledge and experience with next-generation startups and working to ensure the sector's harmonious integration with the banking and financial system.
Gaston Aussems

Gaston Aussems has spent over two decades working in transaction banking and payment services as a (central) banker, strategic consultant, entrepreneur, and CEO. Prior to joining TPAY MOBILE, he was the CEO of the European payment service provider Mollie, which focuses on serving SMEs. He possesses both strong technical skills, particularly in emerging technologies, and extensive experience in strategic planning, financial regulation and compliance, risk management, leadership, transformation, business development, and investor relations. With a passion for customer-centricity, technology, and scaling businesses, Gaston has led companies through rapid growth to achieve excellent financial performance. He is results- and data-driven, pragmatic, and empathetic, while maintaining a strong focus on employee engagement, shared values, and purpose. Gaston holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Rotterdam School of Management.
Işık Uman
Vice Chairman
Işık Uman is the Group CEO of TPAY, your payment connector in META, a role he assumed on July 1, 2023. Işık joined TPAY in 2020 as Director of Global Partnerships after Payguru’s acquisition. Over the past four years, he has taken on various pivotal roles, demonstrating his versatile leadership and strategic vision. Before TPAY, Işık co-founded and chaired Payguru, a pioneering Turkish payment company. He led the buy-out of Neomobile's Turkish mobile payment business and rebranded it as Payguru, which became the first Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) company to receive a payment license from the Turkish Financial Regulator. Under his leadership, Payguru became Turkey's leading alternative payment provider. In June 2020, TPAY acquired Payguru, expanding its coverage to the META region. His career includes senior roles at Superonline, Turkcell, and Neomobile. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Middle East Technical University (METU) and has pursued advanced studies in Information Systems, AI, and Cognitive Science. Işık is committed to providing partners with the most effective and reliable payment methods tailored to their services and the countries they are launching in. This dedication has led to the creation of new payment channels, such as mobile wallets in MEA and open banking in Turkey, with more to follow. Berk Bacakoğlu
General Manager and Board Members
Berk Bacakoğlu graduated from Bilkent University with a degree in Computer Engineering and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yeditepe University. With extensive experience in the telecommunications, finance, and insurance sectors, Bacakoğlu specializes in strategic planning, digital transformation, IT infrastructure architecture, and advanced analytics. Throughout his career, he has led successful projects at major organizations such as Acıbadem Healthcare Group, Turkcell, Akbank, and the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBM). He has also served as the Chairman of the Digitalization and Data Analytics Committee of the Insurance Association of Turkey and held executive roles as CIO and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board at SBM. Bacakoğlu was appointed as the CEO and Board Member of Payguru on July 1, 2023.
Gülnihal Akartepe

Graduated from TED Ankara College. She graduated from Ankara University Bachelor's Degree and Gazi University MBA with thesis programs, and also received CRM training with a scholarship at Manchester Business School in the UK and one year of education at Ankara University Banking and Commercial Law Institute. She started his career in finance, non-performing loans and risk management and after a successful 10-year career at Şekerbank T.A.Ş., she worked as Vice President of Corporate Loans Department at Credit Europe Bank Russia for 2 years. Afterwards, she worked as Credit Monitoring and Commercial Finance Department Manager at Credit Europe Bank NV, Amsterdam for 3 years. In 2015, she joined Payten Technology as Internal Control Manager and established internal control processes and managed compliance processes with international regulations. She also played an active role in GDPR and KVKK administrative and technical compliance processes. In 2020, she worked as Group Director responsible for Risk, Compliance and Governance at Ininal Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Hizmetleri A.Ş. and Aypara Ödeme Kuruluşu A.Ş. within MultinetUP Group. Since 2022, she has been Global Vice President at TPAY Mobile, responsible for Risk, Compliance and Regulation in 32 countries in the META region. She is also a Board Member responsible for Internal Control - Risk Management and Compliance at Trend Ödeme Kuruluşu A.Ş. (Payguru). She has more than 20 years of industry experience and is an expert in international compliance standards such as COSO, PCI - DSS, GDPR / KVKK, FATF, MASTERCARD - VISA.

Sezgin Yılmaz
Financial Director
Sezgin Yılmaz graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Accounting and Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration. He started his professional career as an Accounting Specialist at Collezione in 2004. He then worked as an Accounting and Finance Specialist at Hedef Alliance and as a Senior Accountant and Reporting Specialist at Diaverum Dialysis. In 2014, he joined Payguru Finance Department as Accounting Manager and has been working as Finance Director since 2021. Since 2014, Sezgin Yılmaz has held a Certified Public Accountant (SMMM) license and has more than 20 years of experience in the Finance and Accounting sector. Since 2023, he has been serving as a Board Member in the company.
Muzaffer AKsoy
IT Director
Muzaffer Aksoy started his education in Astronomy and Space Sciences at Istanbul University and continued his studies at Yıldız Technical University. Starting in 1999, Mr. Aksoy has worked for leading companies in the sector such as Süperonline, Turkcell Group Company, and Turkcell Communication Services, and has undertaken web development, Java application development and technical consultancy duties. Since 2011, he has been working as a consultant, application developer and director at Trend Ödeme Kuruluşu A.Ş. His technological skills include Java EE, Linux, PostgreSQL DBA, Web Logic, and Cloud systems. He also holds a wide range of certifications and specializations.
Uzay Ordu
Product Management and Merchant Operations Manager
In 2003, Uzay Ordu graduated from Trakya University, Department of Computer Engineering and started his career as a software engineer in the finance sector. He has undertaken software development and software department management roles in seven different sectors, mainly in telecommunications. After working as a unit manager at the Insurance Information and Surveillance Center and as a software consultant at Medisouth Inc., he started working as Product and Operations Manager at Trend Payment Organization in 2023. He is married and has one child.
Berna Uzun
Fraud&Customer Support Operations Coordinator
Berna Uzun graduated from Anadolu University Public Relations and started working as a document management and fraud detection specialist at Telsim (Vodafone), a mobile telecommunications company providing GSM services, in 2005. She worked in various departments of the telecommunication company related to customer service and complaint management for about 9 years. In 2014, after working at Sıemens (Simtec System Services) for almost 1 year, she worked as a Customer Relationship Manager for 3 years at a leading company in the mother-baby sector in 2015. He started working as Customer Services Manager at Trend Ödeme in March 2018 and is currently working as Fraud & Customer Support Operations Coordinator.
Ümit Kabadayı
Internal Control Manager
Ümit Kabadayı graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Banking Department and Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration. He started working in the finance sector as a Credit Operations Specialist in the Commercial and Corporate Credit Operations Department at Akbank T.A.Ş. in 2008. In 2013, he worked at Odeabank A.Ş. in the Credit Operations unit and then worked at Tam Finans A.Ş. in the Internal Control and Compliance units for 8 years starting from 2014. He joined Trend Payment Organization as Internal Control Manager in 2022. Ümit Kabadayı has an Information Security Management System Lead Auditor Certificate and also serves as a Compliance Committee Member at the Association of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions of Turkey (TÖDEB).
Nilay Uçar Akman

Nilay Uçar Akman, who completed her undergraduate degree in Statistics at Gazi University in 2002, started her career at Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in 2003 as a Candidate Specialist and worked as a Specialist between 2006 and 2008, and then worked as Assistant Director and Director in various departments and projects of the same bank. In April 2023, after completing his banking career of more than 20 years, he started to work as Compliance Supervisor and Assistant Compliance Officer at Trend Ödeme Kuruluşu A.Ş.. Since July 2024, she has been working as Risk Management Manager and Compliance Officer to manage risk management processes and contribute to the development of strategic solutions by analyzing the financial and operational risks of the organization. She is married and has a daughter.
